Thomas Cranmer, R.I.P.

Today marks the death of Thomas Cranmer, who, as we all know, was burned at the stake under Mary Tudor. I found out from the MacCulloch biography that his last meal consisted of spice cakes and bread; fruit and nuts; and a dish of stewed prunes (p. 599). Talk about adding insult to injury!
